SKAI Intelligence, a digital twin and synthetic data solutions company, announced on the 29th that it has received official certification from the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) for the establishment of its corporate R&D center and has commenced full-scale advancement of industrial synthetic data and Physical AI technologies.
The establishment of the R&D center comes amid rapidly growing demand for synthetic data driven by the expansion of the Physical AI industry. As demand for training data required to build Physical AI systems in manufacturing and robotics environments continues to surge, SKAI Intelligence has formed a dedicated research organization to expand its technological capabilities across diverse industrial ecosystems based on digital twin technologies.
The company explained that the R&D center is part of its mid- to long-term strategy to strengthen global competitiveness in industrial synthetic data, particularly in the Omniverse-based ecosystem, which is becoming increasingly critical in the era of Physical AI.
SKAI Intelligence has been advancing its capabilities by building industrial synthetic data generation pipelines leveraging NVIDIA Omniverse-based digital twin technologies. In particular, the company is extending its capabilities from Real-to-Sim, which accurately replicates real-world data in virtual environments, to Sim-to-Real, enabling synthetic data generated in virtual environments to be effectively deployed in real industrial settings.
With the launch of the R&D center, SKAI Intelligence plans to further enhance industrial synthetic data technologies and expand its pipeline as a core infrastructure for Physical AI. The company is also recognized as an official NVIDIA Partners in Retail, being the only Korean company among 13 global firms listed on NVIDIA’s official website.
SKAI Intelligence also plans to expand collaborative research frameworks with leading domestic and global institutions while strengthening its R&D workforce.
Jaechul Lee, CEO of SKAI Intelligence, stated, \"The biggest limitation in industrial processes and Physical AI lies in the gap between training data and real-world environments. SKAI Intelligence provides synthetic data that bridges this gap. Through the establishment of our R&D center, we aim to position ourselves as a core infrastructure provider in the manufacturing and robotics industries.\"
